Has anyone used/tried the tacticam stabilizer camera mount and if so did you use the wide angle or the 5.0 camera? I’m wanting to try one out but curious if any forum members have tried it out by any chance.

I have used the stabilizer mount with the 5.0 and the Wide. Bottom line in my opinion is that the tactacam stinks for bows. Really pretty good for guns and crossbows but the stabilization on bows is terrible. I guess its good enough for a third angle. All I want to see it shot placement and if you have lighted nocks you can get an idea of location, without lighted nocks you will have no idea where it hit the deer.

I used a 5.0 on the stab mount last year. I shot a buck and a doe on camera, but I was not impressed with it. I didn't get a whole lot of pre-season practice with it, but it did seem to work well shooting at the target. Unfortunately, in the moment of hunting situations, things seem to change. There a number of factors that determin how well it will work for you, I think. The amount of zoom chosen is one of them. I was about half zoomed in and with the shaking of the shot, I was not able to see the arrow impact.

Prior years I used a Cannon Sure Shot camera attached to my stab and it worked much the same for half the price. The Cannon had better sound, but higher fiddle factor.

I will post some links to the shots from each as soon as I can get some time.

I also have a GoPro 8 and that has better stabilization but the zoom is less. I suppose you can zoom in when editing the footage.

I just zip tie my tacticam to my riser above my sight. Works perfect in a blind. I've noticed the stabilizer position is too low for me in that situation
