I'm going to suffer in the sweltering heat and mosquitos enjoy an afternoon in the woods today and plan to hunt tomorrow morning before I leave town. Anyone else getting out after 'em this weekend?

For those unaware, Tennessee implemented a 3-day, private land only, antlered only archery hunt a few years back so folks could have a shot at a buck in velvet. I think of it sort of like the teal season before regular waterfowl opens--it's not the main show, but it's still fun to get out and shake the rust off, notwithstanding the heat and bugs.

But you got out!

Very true.

Heat wasn’t really a factor or me. It was in the low 90’s here. I was sweating pretty good while still hunting my way in, but once I set up, it was pretty pleasant. I do have a high heat tolerance though. I can do 15+ minutes in the sauna at 190.

My cold tolerance is not as good though

That’s funny. We are opposites
