Tent repair

I recently hung up my tent to dry out and didn't check the wind situation for the next day. When I got home after work the next day one of my corner stake holders had torn off. Hind sight is 20/20 and I learned my lesson, but I need to repair this. I'm not sure the amount of material left after the tear is sufficient for trying to sew it unless I put some material inside the tent to act as a backing.

Does anyone have any tips?

Following. I have mended the mesh and a couple spots on the side of my tent with very thin rip-stop. It works but looks janky. I'll look into tenacious tape.

I have an inventory of repair patches and glues that I’ve accumulated over the years for patching holes. But repairing the integrity of a corner strap is going to be pretty challenging. Without seeing it, my best guess is that if you’re clever and handy you can come up with a way of repairing it for light duty use. But you’ll probably never want to take that tent on a trip where, comfort, happiness, dryness or survival are on the line.

Tenacious tape is good stuff but if you tore out a corners strap you should prolly just head on over to the support thread.
