Tether and linemans belt

So my setup last year was pretty hasty. I got interested in saddle hunting about mid archery season and decided I needed it immediately. Picked up a RCH and SitDrag on Amazon prime, some free arborist rope from a buddy in the business and started hunting. I'm pretty sure had way too much stuff because it was heavy. And wasn't even carrying sticks or a platform, was using presets.

This year, I plan on fine tuning my setup and making everything as refined as I can. I already eliminated a lot of bulk in my bridge which I referenced in another thread, and the next step is my tether and linemans belt.

So, how long are you guys running your ropes? What knots are using on the ends?

I've read that some guys use two identical ropes for both.

Do you keep your lineman's belt attached to one side of your loops, or take it off once setup? If you take it off, how do you attach and detach it?

And what kind of carabineers are you using?

I'd like to return the rope and carabineers I borrowed and get my own stuff.

Alot of questions, I know, but I appreciate any input. Thanks

Just one of many great options offered up by the guys on here!!! I like the ease of ropemans, but after listening to advice from here, both mechanicals are backed up with splices at the tag end.
