I tied a couple loops on a piece of cord and tethered my stick to my lineman’s loop for the first time yesterday while practice climbing. Glad I did, because I dropped my stick while trying to move up. Just fumbled it in the cold. Didn’t ever really notice the extra cord being in my way at all either. Definitely worth not having to come back down and retrieve my stick. Also had it kick out on me once while I was playing with adjustments. It was my fault for not having to stick set right in the first place. (Helium w/ Artisan platform) Made it much easier to get it picked and reset.

Ive been playing with the idea of attaching a certain length of 550 from my stick to my tether. This way i know how far i can raise my tether without getting out of reach of my stick once i move up.

I've been just running an 88" amsteel daisy chain. What's left I just clip into a carabiner on my saddle. If the stick goes I hang on my tether and pull the stick up, no biggie. Trick is to keep slack out of your tether and slack in the daisy chain.
