Tethrd linesman rope

Yes. Girth hitched to lineman’s loop on left side of saddle. Run tag end through the spliced eye. Will have to remove ropeman/prusik before doing so. Make sure to put a stopper knot after you’ve installed ropeman/prusik after girth hitching.

I've been using my old HSS rope for my lineman's belt and though it girth hitch's decently, I was thinking of using carbiner on both ends. Is this ok? I don't like the way the rope bunches up at the saddle when I run the tag end through the eye.

yes no worries there - I do the same with the Tethr'd rope / carabiners using my SitDrag. On my Kestrel I have the original rope and knot and it is bulky - it becomes a question of bulk / weight as a preference

Girth hitched on left side, I daisy chain and clip back to right loop behind my back. Rope management! Doesn’t touch anything while I’m walking or hunting.

Does anyone run it through the carabiner once set up as a backup bridge? Although not necessary figured it would keep it out the way and be a back up for an unlikely bridge failure. Anyone tried it and ran into problems I may not be thinking of?

Yes I have done it when I'm testing new stuff. The only downside is unless I take the ropeman completely off I have stand up and take pressure off the tether and keep the gate unlocked so I can slide it in.

I started off with it girth hitched but I have since switched over to using a carabiner because I thought it would be useful to be able to unhook from either side, after making quite a few hunts on different types of trees haven't had to unhook from that side so thinking about going back to girth hitch on my left side.
