I can give you a bit of insight into the Perch platform, if you want... I'm the guy that was in the Wild Edge booth standing on it for 8 hours the very first day it was revealed and I walked my way all around it, putting side pressure on it from every angle imaginable as I talked to show attendees.
#1, When the video was made, there was ZERO attempt at softening any noise.... Jacob literally slammed it home to show how solid it locked in. He didn't have any thought about trying to quiet it... Yes, Stealth Strips or any kind of adhesive-backed fleece works very well on the contact points, and we had some on there later.
#2, You could easily insert this PRIOR to camming the Stepp over and it works just as well as camming a Stepp over without the Perch attached... I believe on Wild Edge's Instagram page there's a video showing Drew doing just that. Not necessary, but I saw where the question had been asked a couple times. So, to recap: You can cam over a Stepp first without the Perch attached, install and uninstall it without affecting the WE Stepp, or you can install it PRIOR to attaching the Stepp to the tree if you so chose and install and uninstall just as easily.
#3, The Perch was extremely comfy to stand on, offering plenty of support for the bottom of my shoes... and if you take note of some of the videos from the booth, I wasn't exactly wearing the most conducive shoes to be standing on a platform for 8 hours. It took side pressure as well as anything I've used thus far; it simply didn't budge, and that's a testament to the Stepp itself as well as how snugly the Perch nestles inside one.
