The official Coffee Thread.

American Pride Roasters and Black Rifle. Great companies, great roasted to order, not mass produced, coffee and they support great TV/Radio/Internet shows.

work- whatever we got

special- I have yet to find a coffee I like better than stuff from the Blue Mountains of Jamacia, it's even better if I can drink it while actually in Jamaica

This was at Costco for a minute. I liked it so much I bought three more bags. I do like the local places. I’m lucky to have like 3-4 local shops. I’ve been trying to support local with what I can for a while now. Especially chain restaurants. For the most part they suck anyway.

Coffee Bean Corral.
A small home roaster
3 different grinders, 1 home, 2 backpack
Aeropress
2 French presses
Untold number of hiking stoves (the original Pocket Rocket is my favorite)

I keep an emergency Brew Bag on my truck. I can’t remember the last time I bought a cup of coffee.

Drinking a cup of Coasta Rican La Magnolia Tres Rios as I type.

For 1. & 2., I’ve been having a 50/50 blend of Cafe Bustelo and Dunkin’ Donuts Original Roast. For 3., I like a fine ground Brazilian medium roast, when I can get it.

Just bought a AeroPress to up my game. Makes a great cup!
For hunting 1/2 Starbucks added to this is the best I've found. No chemicals listed.

At home my go-to is Cameron's. Sometimes ground, sometimes whole beans I run through a burr grinder.
Traveling for business I bring a pour-over cone and electric kettle so I can make Dunkin coffee in my room.
Holiday gas stations have the best coffee in that segment of the market.
I'll patronize an independent coffee shop over a chain. I'll take Dunn Bros. over Caribou, and Caribou over everything else. I can't remember the last time I gave money to Starbucks.

Im not much of a coffee drinker but I like my wife’s coffee. I got her a breville for Mother’s Day and she runs Illy Classico and Intenso through it which I gotta say is pretty good.
