Ok...I tried your method. I have the Yates big wall ladder, and tethers with prussics. I can describe the method in one word...PAINFUL. In my basement...it was great. On a large diameter, rough bark tree it was killer. I didn't have knee pads and I could not move the tethers up the tree...at all. I see the video you posted on saddle hunter nation but are there more videos you made...is there a step by step process much like the Cain method. While this method looks great, and is light weight, and while I want to do it....well it will take a lot of work and a whole lot of practice. I will say in the video the tree looks about less than 12" in diameter and is smooth bark. Did that help? Also did you have boots on with harder soles...or at least harder soles than merrell hikers.

Inquiring minds need to know.

Just get some sticks cut them down and add a single aider to each or an easily movable one step aider and don’t reinvent the wheel. The few pounds you save isn’t worth the hassle of a tough climb and setup

Now try it in the dark with limbs. Looks good on paper but of all the people I know that played with the idea 3 or 4 years ago none of them stuck with it. All the energy you save in weight is lost when you actually climb the tree. The only time I would use it is if I forgot my sticks at the truck.

Do a search of "no stick method" and you will find some good video's that talk about the limitations. This method has been around for years and never gained much support because of the difficulties. I personally find that anytime I try to use a multi step aider it sucks the NRG out quicker than standing on a solid foot hold.

I love how everyone now has a method named after them! lol
is this the justsomedude or the sampotter method?
aider only or stick on a string?
guys take an old idea regurgitate it and now its there method! lol

Gotta create that legacy in the saddle world bro, lol
