How did you form the Kydex? Did you just heat it and wrap it around? Looks awesome!

Yes sir. Cut out a "T" shaped piece (see image) and heated/formed the molle clip first. Then, heated the rest, wrapped it around the thermocell (using a towel) and let it sit! Went back and heated the little slots and finger holds and pressed them in with a pen to give it some grip. Lastly, cut off what you dont want with a dremel.Kydex Drawing.png

Has anyone tried the refill hack? Does it work without leaking? Also, where is the best place to buy replacement mats?

I typically buy them from Walmart. Could have used mine today on an impromptu squirrel hunt. Man they were bad! Went out right after the rain. The deer, squirrels and skeeters were everywhere! Saw a nice 8 and probably 12 doe.

I refill my canisters. It works well. Just remove the one way valve with a sheetrock screw and buy the butane that has all the different fittings. I forget which fitting works the best. And use a sharpie to indicate you already removed the valve from that canister. Its waaaaay cheaper this way

How long from now will we be watching the commercial from The Law Office of (insert name here) about exposure to the chemicals found in Thermacells? :)
I guess I'll take it a few times a year over skeeters though!
Well, it’s either that or Yellow Fever lol. Man they were carrying me off today. OFF had zero effect on them. Fired that Therme up and after it heated up they were gone. Mine didn’t seem to want to start. First time I ever used one so I didn’t really know what to look for. Finally got the little orange glow in the top.

Yep - I always hit the piezoelectric starter button 3,4,5 times in a row until I see the orange glow through the sight-window.
Yeah, I didn’t really know what to look for. I finally hit the popper multiple times and I could hear the little “woof” when it lit off. I’m addicted now. Ready to re-juice my pads and have a couple of cans of butane on the way to refill the butane cartridges.D8625D45-C535-4C5D-9860-1B868A07BAF5.jpeg
