We've been working hard the past few weeks to come up with some big changes to our vendor policies to meet the changing needs of our community. Please see the new vendor rules here:

seen a lot of messages related to bridge/hookup safety but is there any backup roe the main tether your hooked to other than making 20 ft the hard way?
I've heard of people sliding a prusik with a long end just below their tether loop at the tree. The other end of that prusik will come down to the bridge caribeaner and end with a bowline or girth hitch and connect again.
It only really helps if you break below the loop and not at the loop. Your other option would be to run a second tether, and imo you should always have a spare one with you. I climb with a pair of linesman. One is dedicated for my ascent, the other usually is my tether so when I transfer to platform I'm always hooked up. I usually then unhook my linesman and stuff it. If I encounter a limb I'll use the second rope as a linesman while I hook/unhook around the branch. I've never doubled up on my tether, but I could.
