LOL! I was thinking the same thing. How has the action been in your neck of the woods @huck72412 ?
I haven't had much time so far. The few times that I've hunted it was sweltering and fairly miserable. I've seen several does but wasn't exactly excited about working in the heat to drag one. Hang in there, maybe we will catch a breeze by mid October!!!!

I'm pretty much calling it quits until the heat breaks. The thought of dragging one out through the swamp with the skeeters, then having to clean it, makes me nauseous.

I scouted 1/2 the day yesterday walking hills. I'm not scared. I'm going hunting. Only got so many days in the season. Got to get in as many as I can. Every hunt you can learn something. You might be walking back and find a hot acorn tree or jump some out a bed. Or see one run into a tree and kill itself. Then you could pose next to it for that hero pic for Facebook!

I just want to go hunting! Heat or no heat! With the drop in temp I would love to hunt this weekend but our season here in VA doesn't open til the 7th of October.

Y'all were right. It was too hot. Stepped right next to him before I noticed him. Turned instant ninja and somehow was 3ft away without knowing how I got there! If it was a cotton mouth he would have stuck me. Only got on 2 lil bucks all weekend.

Not quite as intense, but I didn't expect this a foot from face as I climbed up to get my pack from the tote yesterday afternoon. I'm sure I made a not so manly noise because I was laughing at myself before I was off the ladder.

I fished a rat snake out of my pool yesterday.
It was in the 50's this morning and i was planning to do an afternoon hunt but it jumped up to 85 :(

Love that camo but that's the one snake that I really really keep my eyes open for
