I don't know about Gamehide clothing, but the Insect Shield company will treat your clothes for you and charge you by the pound. It's the same concept as the Gamehide clothing...Permethrin is "baked-in" and lasts for up to 70 washings. I have some Insect Shield clothing and it works great against ticks. I've always bought the factory Insect Shield clothes, I've not yet sent them my own (non Insect shield) clothes for them to treat, but I assume that I will do that some day. As I remember, the price was reasonable. I still use concentrate permethrin on my work-type clothes and I keep my nicer "factory" Insect Shield clothes for the less rigorous activities. I like having some of the permanent treated clothes because I always have some that are ready to go. I don't always want to mix concentrate, spray stuff, and wait for it to dry before I can use it.Am I reading that correctly? 1 Shirt, 1 pant, and 1 pair of socks for 110 dollars?
That's 5 bottles of the premix and hundreds of gallons of the diluted concentrate....
How much do they charge if u send them ur clothes for them to treat? I pretty sure I remember somebody saying they offered that service
Not trying to be argumentative....just making an observation.
Hahah. Never had a d*** tick. One between my toes that took me a few days to detect somehow.Dang.....the **** tick, thats a good 1

I'm from Boyne City, MI. I've spent a bunch of time in the woods this spring between turkey hunting (treated clothes) and scouting (mostly non-treated clothes) and I've only seen two. My daughter had one crawling on her after a turkey hunt and I had the one from the bike ride. Seems about pretty close normal expectations to me for my part of the world.Any Michaganders been out and about in tick country - how are they? Bad?
Same experience. Seems to work really well. I have a third arm growing out of my back now, but I think that's unrelated.I’ve heard they’re bad this year. I sprayed all my stuff down with permethrin and haven’t had a single tick yet. I’ve been crawling through some nasty stuff trying to sneak on turkey, sat in overgrown fence rows for hours, and walked through a bunch of tall grass and I’ve not had one.
Oh the **** tick... I’ve had on of those before. I’ve never felt so violated in my life.My neighbour went fishing yesterday. He has anti tick clothing but decided not to wear it.
When he got home he found one on his back and one on his penis.
Wear the clothes, spray down.

Yup. Think they caught it early and symptoms are gone. Got about a week of antibiotics left. Fingers crossed it's curedGood news is that it's 100% curable as long as diagnosis and treatment weren't substantially delayed. Just make sure you take ALL the antibiotics they prescribed you, even once your symptoms are gone.
At least Lyme can be cured….that Lone Star Tick induced meat allergy would do me in. Can you imagine having to be a vegan?Lyme disease is bad enough ... but not the only debilitating tick-borne disease carried by deer ticks. This just in from Connecticut Department of Health:
