So I had been running the quiver that came with my Hoyt Ventum but needed more room for a four blade broadhead and wanted to go back to my Tight Spot but hated not having a hanger for when I hunt out of a tree. Here is what I did and what you will need:
- 1 piece of paracord 12-14”
- 1 piece of wire (I used the black inside strand from some old Romex) 12-14”
- 3/16” drill bit
- epoxy (optional)

So I started by removing the inside of my Tight Spot

Then I removed the foam inserts

There are two marks from the plastic moulding that are nearly perfect for drill holes, I marked mine with a small awl, then drill two 3/16” holes

After this I removed the inside strands from approximately 14” of paracord and inserted the black wire from the inside of a piece of Romex house wire

I then threaded them through the holes I drilled and looped them around the post for the screw inside the quiver hood

Trim to length and I added a few dabs of a 5 minute epoxy to prevent water from coming in during a rain (OCD step)

Reassemble once dry and happy hunting!!

Nice Job. I broke the rigid hanger on mine and cut a new one from a plastic bucket lid.

I did the same exact thing except I used rubber coated tie wire. Works great!

I really like your method seems like it would be nice and quiet. Also you could bend it to help it hang nicer against the tree if needed that's something I find annoying on certain setups if I'm just trying to use a twig or limb that's in the vicinity already.

Yours must not have come with the standard hard plastic piece most of them come with. I managed to break mine and afterward have noticed that other people have been having the same issue.

I ended up printing a new one. Screenshot_20240101_105324_Gallery.jpg

My old bow quiver I did something similar by drilling a hole, tying a piece of paracord with a simple overhand knot making a loop, pushed through the hole with knot side inside like your is.

Your looks better.

I did the exact same mod on my 3-arrow Tight Spot a couple of years ago. It's definitely worth the small amount of time involved and adds almost no weight.

Nice. I did the same thing except just tied an over hand knot at each end inside the cap.

I think I just screwed a kydex hook to the back of the hood. Hooks into the loops on my hys strap just fine or onto a small branch/twig too!
