Time to raise a glass!

I’d say to the whole community. There are a handful of folks that we a tad more vocal. Some I’ve met thru the YouTube’s. Some via PMs and me asking dumb newb questions. And always great advice and direction. I love the patience the old salts have for us new guys

G2outdoors. Bwhana. Redsquirrel. Nutterbuster. Joe Walling. Heck. The great John Eberhart even gave out his personal number somewhere in here one day.

Great group of like minded folks. Thanks for putting up with us new dudes.

It occurs to me I'd be remiss if I didn't raise one more glass. Sincere thanks to @T.Clarke for setting up not one, but two saddle demo days here in Michigan this year, opening his own home for the last one. These events are awesome, not only for the guys just starting but also for those who've been doing this for a while and all experience levels in between. Great camaraderie between a bunch of like minded individuals and some solid knowledge/tricks of the trade sharing. If you ever get a chance to attend one of these events I highly recommend it. A great time was had by all at both events. Aside from that, its nice to actually meet some the "friends I've never met" in person.

I'll copy you on that @boyne bowhunter .
I'll raise a glass to my man @Bigterp for hosting the Maryland saddle shootout live. It was a great time and I could not have done it without you... And your soooo good lookin

@DanO needs a glass raised in his honor as well! I've only met him once, at SaddlePalooza, but what a super nice guy. I DOUBT THERE'S ANYTHING HE CAN'T BUILD, WELL! Check his stuff out at Eastern Woods Outdoors.

Raise a glass, eh? Well...

@redsquirrel for being a kind, magnanimous, benevolent, unselfish, and (dare I say) loving Fearless Leader. If I was in his shoes, I'd have closed the forum down and sold everybody's email addresses off to the highest bidding spammer in Pakistan years ago. Not sure how or why he puts up with us all, but I'm glad he does.

@WHW for being the storyteller supreme, and a really nice guy. If I had killed half as many deer as him, my head would be so swolt'up I'd need a second tether to hold my head up.

@John Eberhart for writing the books that got me into this mess in the first place. I don't generally cotton to folks from Michigan (y'all cause too many traffic problems down here in the winter months) but I'll make an exception.

Speaking of the Michigan tribe, @DanO gets two glasses raised. Not only is he the King of Steps, he's also...nice. Like super nice. Just 7ft of beard, aluminum shavings, and niceness.

@Vtbow, for parting with a windwalker back when you couldn't find one for love, money, hard drugs, or even ameristeps! It may just be the beer goggles talking, but that man looks good in a Sneaky Sack, and he knows a thing or two about knots too. My kinda man.

@kyler1945 for not only letting a stranger from the internet shoot his deer, but also for honorably swearing to that stranger's wife that he would not molest said stranger in the backwoods of Alabama. I may not understand what the heck he's talking about all the time, but he seems like a pretty smart fella too.

@huck72412. I'll raise a tall, blue can to the Silver Spurred Saddleer for never taking himself too seriously, even when he's weaving tall tales that would make Paul Bunyan blush.

@denots and @Deltahuntr for turning beans and rice into a sacred art form.

@Jefferson10940 for making a saddle hunting shirt that draws compliments from folks who don't even know what saddle hunting is.

I could go on, but my liver couldn't. All y'all (yes, that is correct English down here) are pretty cool. Looking forward to the 2019-2020 deer season! Roll Tide!
