Time to raise a glass!

@g2outdoors, @redsquirrel
G2 is how I found Saddle Hunting, Redsquirrel is responsible for this site
Cannot and should not have a Saddlehunter discussion of this type without these two for sure. Without Red, we would likely have some sort of site still, but nowhere near the quality we enjoy here and he should be #1 on all our lists. G2 has been a great ambassador for all things saddle, period.

The first glass should be raised to @redsquirrel for starting this forum. It has consumed my life for many years and I've loved every second of it.

For years that guy read every single post (he may still) in order to make the forum a good place for all us maniacs.

Another glass must be raised to @John Eberhart
He is the reason so many of us found saddle hunting in the first place.

I must also raise one to @Erniepower that dude has changed my life in the last 18 months.

There are so many more on this forum I could point out that have impacted me personally. But the 3 I listed above hold a special place.

I've been hunting from some form of saddle for 25 yrs. but without RedSquirrel I would not consider myself a part of any community. Saddlehunting or otherwise. Thanks man!

Raising a glass to @EricS! He was the first person at SaddlePalooza this past February to offer up his saddle for me to try out. I sat in it on a pole right beside the shelter. I remember thinking, "man, what a nice guy!" Thanks for moderating this site as well!

I wish I still could. There is just too many to keep up with anymore. I tried to do it and I went crazy. It was the end of an era for me. For a long time all of the guys on saddlehunter weren't just my friends, they were like a family to me. I knew personal details about many people who were my friends that I never met. We welcomed new spouses, new babies, new puppies, new homes and of course new bucks on the wall.

And @huck72412 was like that crazy uncle that you keep around just because he's family.

I'll raise a glass to @bowhunter15 and Bobby Boswell (don't know his screen name) whose video work were instrumental in leading me to saddle hunting, to this sight, and to teaching me so much of what I know and do. Thank you both.

One to @Nutterbuster for making me laugh, and for making me want to be a better hunter and more importantly, a better person.

One to @fbwguy for being a great guy to bounce ideas off of as we started this saddle obsession at similar times under similar circumstances.

One to @kyler1945 for his incredible analytical approach to everything he does here. Dude's got game.

One to 2018 Team 1 for being the deadliest group of saddle hunters ever! Lead from the front boys!

There's more but I'll be drunk soon! TNSTAAFL out!

I feel this way.

I spend more time with people from this community than my "real friends".

The Saddle Hunter family is a real thing.

If @huck72412 reads that post he will never take anything you say seriously again. I tried to stay out but f this thread because it would be like someone st the Grammy awards thanking their kindergarten teacher for teaching them to believe in themselves. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing but I would need one heck of a long list and I suck at taking notes.
On a short list you have to thank @redsquirrel. He gave us all a place to meet and made sure it stayed great.
Also have to give a shout out to @g2outdoors for putting together the first saddlepalooza aka pigmaggeddon (it actually had a good success rate on pigs maybe we should have kept the name). I already liked the site but that’s where I fell in love with the saddlehunter.com family. So thanks to the guys there. And thanks to everyone who has a positive impact on the site. There are a bunch of you but once again I didn’t take notes.

My glass is raised to all the pioneers who make this site great (especially @redsquirrel and all the moderators)! There is only one other site I go to for hunting info and find most forums or Facebook pages become overrun with 'know it alls' and BS. This place seems different based on my relatively short tenure in the club. If I had to pic a couple people I've followed, that either directly or indirectly led me here, they are

@g2outdoors
@bowhunter15
@DaveT1963
