Tips for more efficient climbing

I put my new saddle system to the test over the weekend and man is it fun!
I absolutely love the versatility that it offers and the new take on being in the tree. The question/comments I have is two fold:

I need a more efficient method when ascending the tree. Is took me quite a while to get all four of my Muddy sticks in place...is there a more efficient method than putting one on and then descending the tree to get the next one?
What is the most efficient way to pack your sticks and remove them form your backpack as you climb? It feels like in a perfect world, you could take them out of your backpack as you are climbing, but this may not be possible. Do you guys leave them on the ground and attach a rope to them, so you can pull them up as you get one in place and climb higher?

Lots of questions to unpack here, but any advice is appreciated. I felt like my decent from the tree was much smoother.

I use amsteel daisy chains, but you could do the same thing I do with your muddy sticks. Get a 4 pack of ponytail holders and tape them or tie them on the end of your ropes. I hook all of those onto the end of my first step after it’s on the tree, then when I’m on that step I can grab 1 rope, set it and move the other 2 sticks to the next step. Works pretty well. I made a video on how to use a linesman belt for stick climbing that might be helpful too.

Set your stack of unused sticks on the standoff of the top stick you've hung. Pull one off and hang. Rinse and repeat. Watched ole @denots do it, and felt really dumb I never considered it. Will not work if you're using some wonky aider technique where you can't reach the top of the standoff from where you are. In that case hang em on your person.

I feel so enlightened!

I got my method from Hunt Urban on YouTube. I use 3 molle kydex clips from doublesteps.com attached to my saddle. 1 on each side of my waist and 1 directly behind me. I hang my sticks with a small piece of 550 cord looped.. second stick on my left and my third and fourth stacked together on my right.. then my platform on the rear clip.

I climb with my pack on and pull up my bow. Works great.

Nice job. Agree with the cam buckle statement. I heard a little squeaking. Was that from the amsteel?

I do the same thing with the molle clips from EWO. The only difference is I use nite-ize gear ties and lash my shikar's together. Each shikar has a piece of 550 cord tied to the footrest. I undo my first two sticks from the gear tye and hang one on my left side clip. I have my OOAL Scout on the back clip. I have the other two sticks on my right clip still "tied" together which I use for stick three and four. This allows you to use three molle clips for 4 stiks and a platform. Of course you need to also tie 550 cord on your scout platform.
