With all the time on my hands I’ve been cleaning up the garage and the attic area above. I don’t work anymore do to an accident I had back in March of 2010. Hence the name “AccPrnHunter” (accident prone hunter). So the saddle hunting has got my interest in a big way...I have the bug! Mainly for the safety factor along with ease of mobility and tree options. So I’ve been thinking about whether I want to have any dump pouches. I have a few options with no additional cost to me which is important to me. I have some nail bags I’ve accumulated over the years and they’re just taking up space now. The husky belt has 2 identical pouches that are removable along with a small pouch which was for a tape measure. I have this leather belt with 2 pouches that are a little different and they are removable. The next one is a single fixed pouch which is a little more appealing to the eye and the pouch is sewn in a way where the pouch stays open on its own where the others not so much. There is also a nice shoulder rig which the shoulder straps can be removed and used as a back support for the saddle. I’m just looking for some input. Pros and cons and whether I should use them at all and just fix my ropes and daisy chain them up for walking in. Here’s a couple photos. Let me know what you think or any ideas you may have. Thanks. Stay safe and good hunting!88A29239-B774-428F-B6A5-7028C182BD2F.jpegDC860C1B-22EE-4B51-994A-4CA85AC7E886.jpeg3A1261E0-BABE-4F5A-A8DC-74A3A0A98699.jpeg790700E9-5A8A-42BD-A0C1-90DBA98406DC.jpegC5A95BD6-A336-4CDE-AA0E-C9CF49C96955.jpeg

You really can't go wrong with the Dan-O fleece or Saddlecloth pouches. They are so lightweight and easy to attach to any saddle. And let's face it... $12-$15 could be saved by not eating out once or twice. I bought 1 Dan-O pouch and 1 from Ebay that was recommended on this site. After receiving both, I ordered another Dan-O pouch.

I don’t know why the images didn’t post before but they’re on now. I’m thinking about the one pouch. I can separate the belt from it and it is really lightweight in comparison to the others.

You really can’t even make them cheaper than that unless you already have all the material too. Not that they are hard to make. They are Great buy and great product.

Any of those should do just fine. Fleece is just extremely quiet and light. Let us seen what you decide!

Dano's pouches will be waay lighter than those nail bags. You wont like that weight pulling down on your saddle but they'll work if you want to try. You can always swap them out later.

i'm going to also chime in and recommend pouches from @DanO . I recently got an asat pouch to match my flex, and i really like it. top notch. for the price, just order from eastern woods outdoors!

First time I saw your name my mind went to the basketball conference and porn. Not sure what that says about me. ;)

Just, something else to consider. I use Dano's fleece pouches also but, I attach them to the waist strap of my backpack. Everything is at my waist for easy access when I am climbing but, once I'm set up, I take my pack off and nothing is on my saddle. Just another option to consider.

Much more than a basketball conference there Terp. Just ask UVA, Clemson, Louisville. I do miss those UVA/MD rivalry games though... conference traitors. ;)

Haha. I agree, I've just always been more of a basketball fan. Two of the three schools you mentioned where conference traitors at one point also. ;)I'll admit I like Bennett and have always been a little bit of UVA fan also (I own some property in VA and plan on retiring there someday.) I do miss the MD/UVA games. I don't miss playing 'neutral' site tournament games in Grensboro, having starters foul out with 4 fouls, or watching Duke get two consecutive jump balls in the final minute of a close game.
