New to saddle hunting so I’m clueless on if it’s even feasible or not but I just bought some hawk helium sticks and was wondering about platform ideas. Has anyone just used the top stick to hunt on or if there’s any DIY platform thoughts for something to add to the top stick to stand on as a platform. I havnt actually gotten my saddle yet so I’ve just been hanging out in my HSS to get used to the process before it comes in. Just looking to save a little money if I can for the 1st year and thought it might be possible to use the top stick. Any thoughts?
 
You can us the top of the helium plus about 3 ameristeps on a boat buckle strap works well! Just hang em all the same level as the top.
 
I used just the top of my helium stick tonight for 4 hours. Didn't have the best footwear on and the tree I was in was a bit kittywampus, but it got the job done. Wouldn't want just the top of my stick to be the only platform option in my arsenal, but if needed it'll do, IMHO
