Totem rappel device.

Canyons and Crags episode one - Bing video Anyone try this? I like the stop and go feature. Plan on using it to rappel at the end of my sit only. Also going to back up the brake hand with a auto block.

Will that auto lock I want to be able to stop on the way down to pull my sticks. I don't plan on one sticking. Can be used like this as well. Looks to be just what I need.

A regular figure eight can be rigged the same way. The Smart pictured above will lock with enough weight from the down rope to go hands free, the Smart 2.0 does it even better.

The Totem looks like it will work well. I see the Beal Birdie about $10 more. The Birdie is much better and safer.
