Re-read post #57.
In other words, call Mark.

Lol yea I read post #57 and quoted you on the reply. Sorry that wasn’t directed at you but anyone who has been playing with the platform long enough to find a solid solution. I will try and give him a call for the secret squeak cure thanks.

Good grief, no reason to add screws! I fixed my Treehopper Tree Suit with a little sandpaper and cammo paint. The original coating has too much gloss. Just rough it up a little and hit it with a matt finish. Did I mention that it's crazy light!
Good deal, I figured it couldn’t be that big of a problem but since I’m gettin one I thought I’d run through this thread again. Thanks for sharing.

I second this. Did a before/after test on the same tree. Squeaked horribly before but it was gone after sanding and painting

Mark has gone above and beyond with communication. And i think the above post is correct. You have to remove ALL the original finish from the side that contacts the tree. Even in the channels of the "teeth" im almost there.

I just got word from mark that they have come up with a solution. Some more agressive teeth that can be retrofitted on the existing tree suits.. that is my understanding anyway. What a good guy!! Way to take care of your customers!!

FWIW i have tried all the sanding, repainting, tape, and even took it down to bare metal. Seated it hard on the tree, used a ocb strap to get tighter, even used a ratchet strap. Some did not work at all some only temporarily. Until i put the screws in the posts then no noise. I'm not telling anyone to do this it was just info on what i did to fix my platform. It doesn't matter to me just relaying information that i found by trial and error. Thanks

I added 2 self tappers too, wished i hadnt but i did. It didnt change anything. I put them up higher. Just above the teeth

I just placed my order for a couple of these platforms. Any idea if they will ship with the upgraded teeth or will I be stuck messing around with it to not make noise?

Not sure if they will send it with it.. but im POSITIVE mark will take care of you. I called the number on the website just to ask when mine would be shipped, he answered on the 2nd ring and spoke with me for several minutes as if i was an old friend. He has answered all my texts and questions, offered suggestions and updated me. I am beyond thrilled to have found the saddlehunting community.. it seems like i found MY people in the world of hunting...

@bodark - like @Nedrowjoe said, Mark Cama will indeed take care of you - just shoot him an email with your request to ensure you get the latest configuration.

My two platforms came in. A little vet tape around the posts is all it took. I didn’t sand, I didn’t paint. Super simple and easily removed/replaced. I’ve had to do twice as much modifying for platforms that cost twice as much money. A little vet tape is a simple fix.

Cool, did you run the tap vertical up the post or wrap it around?

Vet tape as well as hockey tape worked on mine for about an hour then noise was back. Upon inspection bark had worn through the tape from flexing when moving. Just saying would hate for you to have a booner in sight then move to take shot and then be gone.

I emailed him this morning. He said they would begin machining something this afternoon.

I ordered on Sunday. Do you think I'll get the updated version?
