Good idea. Here's a simple addition to your tree tether to keep it from going slack and dropping when it's "un-loaded.
I used two rubber grommets for my Samson Predator. 1/2" and a 7/16". The 1/2" is relatively snug but larger in OD for the stopper and the 7/16" keeps it tight to the loop. View attachment 1976
Check a good hardware store, look in the fastener cabinets where they keep specialty items such as nylock nuts, thumbscrews, wing nuts ,etc...Where do you get a grommet like that
I'm assuming the tail end of your tether doesn't have a stopper knot...?Nice idea. I just made a very tight eye splice. It works well too.
No, should I have one? I can always just tie one after I'm setup I guess.I'm assuming the tail end of your tether doesn't have a stopper knot...?
So an unloaded prussic against the tether holds it? I assume that is what you meanI use a Prussic knot sometimes to do the same thing.
