Has anyone else tried one of Dann-o's Heavy Duty 1 " Sliders for attaching your tether to bridge. I have tried it from the ground, seems to work great gives you some crazy good adjustments with no Carabiner or Prusik. Just some info: when he states heave duty 1" slider it is just that, very heavy duty. If you try it be sure when you disconnect from bridge you make a loop around the slider, it could slide off. Good or bad idea?

I don’t like the idea of the amount of sliding friction created by webbing on rope or webbing on webbing...there’s videos floating around of how quickly bad things happen.
I’m having trouble picturing the setup so post a pic if you can.
All the things I am imagining seem to involve an unacceptable amount of friction. Webbing on webbing is no good. Webbing slidding on the edge of the slider probably not good with those hard corners.

Find Nutterbusters video of Tubular web tether and Austri Alpine Buckle. Works awesome, small, light weight and provides steel on bridge webbing. No soft on soft contact. I believe it looks safer than that buckle and soft on soft contact
I have been using a tube webbing bridge/tether combo simalar to nutterbusters. super compact, super light, and cheap. i think i spent 35$ total in replacing my bridge and rope tether. very happy with it.
First let me say that, this is my setup, some may not agree with it, but it works for me. I choose not to use locking carabiners because I couldn't get them in the size I wanted for a descent price. Everything is weight rated, I am very cognizant of my carabiner loading. That said here's what I use.

I use a tubular web bridge that I like very much, not adjustable. I tried the Austri Alpine Buckle but found the webbing that I used was very supple and sometimes would twist. I've ordered some heavy webbing from Eastern Woods Outdoors, hopefully it will work.

The sliders are fine to me as a bridge attachment to the saddle loops but I am still not clear how you’d use the sliders for the tether connection?
I should also add that I am skeptical about the dynamic rating of the slider. So I will probably switch it out for a water knot when I settle on a bridge length.
REI has climb spec tube webbing for roughly 40 cents a foot. I really perfer the minimalist acceptable gear possible. When you are looking to change things up with your setup, remember that the time and place to try it is not when you going in to hunt, know your gear, know your limits. Please remember that if your are not sure about the safety rating of a piece of equipment don't use it! You are the only one responsible for your safety!!!
