TX5 Lonestar Should I?

I’m currently running my first saddle. Phantom XL.

Should I upgrade to the TX5?

I’m looking at the stretch material, not the pleat.

I guess my question is, will it be a significant improvement over the Phantom?

I’m in south Arkansas with a fair amount of days of hunting in warmer weather, is the mesh the better option in that case?

Main expectations are of comfort.

Talk me into/out of it.

Thanks.

I think you will get quite a few different opinions, but I couldn’t get anywhere close to comfortable the tethrd saddles.
TX5 is the most comfortable I have hunted out of.
I’m in north Mississippi I haven’t noticed a huge difference from mesh to cordura but when it’s hot down here, you are getting swampa** no matter what you do.

No joke. Humidity central. Thanks for the reply.

You’re not going to get much stretch without the pleat. I would pick mesh with pleat personally. I just find more comfort in a pleat or two panel.

Yep. You should buy that and something else. Then sell what you dont like. Or find a meet up and try them.
I keep eyeballing a Lonestar as well. Just not sure if it is almost $400 better than what I got. I keep talking my self down off the ledge. Or watching for something else to come across the classifieds to try.

What about sizing up and going stretch? Is that the same difference?

From what I’ve seen in the classifieds around here, you only save about 20 bucks on the new price.

I have a TX5 stretch and find it significantly more comfortable than the phantom. It just fits my body type better.

But you save on shipping. And it's already broken in for ya.
Yep. Tax and shipping you save. On the flip side you will not loose a lot on selling it here. Most allow you to return it if you don't like it. Personally I feel 10 minuets in a tree isn't enough to really make my mind up. If you order a XL and sell it on here, i may not be able to resist.
