Ultimate One stick

It seems like the ewo ultimate one stick is the best stick configuration currently available for this climbing method and having a somewhat functional platform on top. The cam cleat option seems to seal the deal compared to other options on the market. Is it worth waiting to see what else comes on the market or just take advantage of the reasonable lead times now vs waiting until summer.

If you are a person who doesn’t need the latest and greatest then I’d say go for it. I just got my stick and I really love it . But I have also changed sticks every year for the last 3 years because they keep getting better . I would imagine more companies will come out with a one stick ( like shikar just did ) . I struggled with the same decision

I am familiar with the muddy cam cleat and that seems like the best option for one sticking. Many reviews seem to be skeptical of the shikar cleat, the trophyline stick looks decent but there is the waiting factor and you will still need to add a cam cleat.

Well, if you order the ultimate stick today, you will still have 4-6weeks to change your mind....still waiting:)

Pics of my one stick I just finished. My son cut the parts out with a water jet. I had to buy the cam cleat and a steel so I have about $45 in it. I also made the 2 step aider. Can’t wait to start using it.

Interesting. Did he create CAD drawings to use on the water jet?

I can confidently say that the EWO Ultimate One Stick is the best option on the market now; even the newest offerings need to be altered in some fashion to get them in the same ballpark ... I like the looks of the Trophyline Wingman platform coming out, but even it’s going to require replacing the versa button with a cam cleat to make it a real viable option.

I’d order the DanO stick and call it good.

He created the code to cut it out in 2 pieces and then welded it.

I’ve never used a multi step aider and had a question regarding spacing. I’m short at about 5’8”. Pretty athletic. For those of you with experience, is 18” ok or should I maybe go 15”? And another question, does DanO offer the Monarch with his Ultimate Onestick now?

Ok, so you are talking about the Scout platform, not the steps, standoffs etc. I thought you were talking about the whole stick.

He made the steps and scout top step. I made the aider and retractable cable in the top cap. Bought the cam cleat and amsteel.

I'm 5'10" and old. I found with regular pants on 15" spacing is good for me but as soon as I put insulated pants and long johns on it's just about impossible to lift my leg up to 15". Dan also has TRADE IN where you can trade your step with the sewn in aider for another at a cost of $20.

As far as the Monarch I heard he's taking orders but hasn't got them yet and is not sure on the price yet.

I would go 15" for sure.

I started one sticking half way thru the season with a DIY one stick. How do y'all keep the slack out of the tether when going up the aider and stick?
I usually just tend it as I go but I found that routing it from my dump pouch up over my shoulder keeps it from getting tangled or hooked on my stick.

Any pics with a monarch out there yet. My wife tried mine today and wants her own.
