I love my daisy chains on my sticks, but they don’t work well with the platform. My idea is like 6 feet of daisy chained amsteel girth hitched to about 8-12 inches of webbing with a cam buckle. Ideally the cam buckle attached solidly to the platform to eliminate clanking. Hook a close loop on the daisy chain and cinch it tight with a couple inches on the buckle. Here’s a mock-up of what I’m thinkin.

I’ve tried the whoopsie daisies and they just didn’t work well for me

I'm not sure if it applies to this exact use, but there can be serious issues with Amsteel cutting thru webbing like a hot knife thru butter. There was a link or video on saddlehunter.com about it.
Not sure this is the same video you're referring to, but I believe it demonstrates the issue pretty succinctly

No, that isn't the video I saw. The one I saw demonstrated Amsteel cutting thru webbing, but in a similar speed.
Which was the reason I originally questioned if this situation applied to how the OP mentioned his mod. I have no idea if there would ever be a friction factor with the OP's idea, but I just thought I would mention that, in some cases, Amsteel can cut thru webbing extremely fast.
