Alright everyone...I was thinking about something this morning. I use my oplux rope (52') as a tether/rappel rope. I also one stick up the tree and have become quite comfortable doing this. I do not like putting bolts in the sides/behind the tree as it means I'm making more movement and some noise. My question is this...could I use my Oplux and place a prussic beneath my friction hitch (goes to my bridge) and then tie in my three step aider and use to place my feet in to get around the back or side of the tree? If that wouldn't work then what about using webbing and the tree step aider...or even a one step aider. Place my foot in it and get around the tree...or would it be simplier to just place the three steps on the sides and back?
