Versa strap and predator platform help

I think being 20 ft up a tree and standing on that post makes some people a little nervous. We all have to trust our gear, stay tethred, and go through that learning curve. It gets better, but takes a lot of practice at 24 in. off the ground not 20 ft up. Thanks Carl . You are the Man.

My issue may be strap stretch. I just went outside and put it on 3 different trees and if I start to bounce a little it gets looser and looser. I have at least 3 hunts on the strap and messed around with it in the yard a little. How long should it take to break the strap in?

It shouldn’t take too long. Maybe a few sets. But if you find you have a little stretch, just do what I did at the very end. It really locks in then.

Excellent video. Thank you. I was standing on the post and toe hooking the platform, but I was not still bearing down on the post when I cammed the platform back over. I will give that a try next trip to a tree.

I think you will find that makes all the difference in the world!

Maybe since a gen 2 is heavier anyway.... just carry the original strap. If you have a gen 2 predator use the versa strap.
