Versa-strap/daisy chain on V-Steps

I purchased four 20” Hawke Helium climbing sticks and am replacing the webbed daisy chain that comes with it with amsteel and a prusik knot. Meaning, I have four spare webbed daisy chains.

Question 1: I intend to girth hitch the webbed daisy chain to primal V-steps and attach the primal v-steps to the tree by using the webbed daisy chain and tying the knot that is used for wild edge v-steps. I hope I’m making sense but the attached picture pertains. I set it up and jumped on it and it seems to hold pretty darn well. Anyone see any concerns with this?

Question 2:I cut off the metal buckle from the primal v-step and intend to use the remaining web and make an aider. The way I’ll make an aider is by tying a double bowline. Picture pertains. Also jumped on it and it seems to hold pretty well. Anyone see any concerns?

I only intend to do this with thr first two steps. Thoughts?

thanks in advance.

For question 1,I had some WE Stepps and did what you're talking about using the Tethrd VersaLinks. I was a lot more successful getting the steps to tighten using the those than using the ropes that came with the WE Stepps. No issues. I've switched to sticks since then.

#2 should be ok, be very mindful of the knots. Sounds like a double bowline is more secure than a standard bowline, still check it periodically
