New guy here trying to do a little research. Was just wondering which one would be better for climbing stick mods?

From what I’ve read, the rope cleats are pretty expensive. If you want a stick with cleats, you’re better off buying new muddy pros.

The versa buttons are more affordable and are lighter, I belive. They also seem to hold pretty well from what I’ve seen. So I think the versa button will be better for mods.

You can make your own versa buttons, with a bolt, spacer, fender washer, and lock nut. Versa button you can also use 1/4" amsteel blue, very light and strong. I dont think 1/4" amsteel works with the cam cleat system.

My cam cleat is rated to 5 mm rope. Amsteel is 6 mm

Anyone happen to know the product number for their Ronstan cam cleat? I’m considering adding one to one of my lone wolf sticks for some one-stick-method practice.
