Vertigo

Are you seeing an ear nose and throat specialist for this? The University of Michigan has a vestibular testing center. If you went there you would be examined by an otolaryngologist. You would undergo testing and be treated for it either with medication or physical therapy exercises that address vestibular problems. I went there when I had vertigo, but mine was due to BPPV. They helped me a lot. I think if you are not seeing an improvement it would be reasonable to ask your primary care physician to refer you to an ear nose and throat specialist or to U of M.

Thanks. I'm mostly improving every day. It's good to be back to work, even if it's from home (nice thing about being a programmer, I can do that). If I push too hard one day I feel it the next, but it's getting better.

I'd have preferred to go to UofM, but my wife has a silly attachment to the local hospital and I wasn't in charge of much that day.

The Physical Therapist I saw says this isn't menierres, bppv or calcium/crystal related because it's not a loss of hearing or ringing, and not predictably responsive to movements, just an irritated nerve from a viral infection and nothing else for it but wait.

If I feel like I'm plateauing, I'll push to go to Ann Arbor. But yesterday I even drove a short bit, and there was some momentary disorientation on turns but was way better than even walking had been last week.

Thanks

This may not be the case for you, but my mother was mis-diagnosed with vertigo and she had Menieres Disease. The symptoms are the same but she controls Menieres with a low sodium diet and eliminating caffeine. If you find that this has some positive effects reach out to me and I can give you more info.

yes i have dealt with it. KETO has really helped my allergies and congestion - I have not experienced sever vertigo since I started cutting carbs which was causing inflammation and I believe screwing with my inner ears.
I was going to suggest this but many people think asking them to give up their carbs are fighting words.
I never would have believed the health advantages if I hadn't tried it.
