Wading through a river to access spot

This thread is from 8/2023. Not sure if you are trying to help the OP or ask a question about the Wiggy's product. Anyhow, in regards to the Wiggy's product - I have read online that the bottoms are not very durable. They might be fine for a couple of short crossings, but do not expect them to last a significant amount of time with rough use.
I read that online too so I always wrote the Wiggy’s off, the people online can go pound sand, those things kick ass, I beat the heck out of a pair all season long and not a single leak, I like them so much I bought a second pair just in case the first ones blew out, but they didn’t, would I wear them all day Salmon fishing, no, but for the intended use, creek crossings and such, then back off again, they work awesome, I always used contractor garbage bags before, never again, after reading all the negative stuff online for many years I thought for sure I wasting another $100, I was wrong!!!!

I also love my wiggy’s, however I only use them for short crossings. But to each their own.

What is the goal on this property? Shooting does? Young bucks? Old mature bucks? If you are looking for the best buck possible my experience would say anything close to the field edges and less than a mile from the parking lot is going to have the most pressure, and mature bucks know it. They might hit that field but it’s gonna be dark before they get there. I’d personally go put in some serious time scouting. Looking over every inch of the property, and find the most over looked bedding with no other hunting presence. Locate the trails in and out, which should be packed with sign, old and new. Keep in mind your wind. Those old bucks know where the entrance is and bed to pick hunters off as they come in, so you might get creative with your entry. What is the typical prevailing wind in this area when you’re hunting?

Be careful...I did this once and then it started raining hard. Once it dawned on me that the river was likely rising, I barely got out of there even after cutting my day in half.
