I was told that my Kestrel wouldn’t ship until the end of November. I thought I could handle that, I’m having a hard time.

You have a RC harness right? $35 bucks for a sit drag was worth it to me while I was waiting for the Mantis. Practiced with it all summer, hunted 4 sits out of it this season. After that the Mantis arrived and I have sat twice in that. I like the Mantis much more than the SD, but I would have been fine hunting the rest of the season in the SD.

Another option is the fleece saddle.

Put plenty of seat time in with your SD. The deer certainly won't notice! In the meantime you can work on other things like climbing, ring of steps/platform,etc. Then all you'll have to do is work your new Mantis into the mix when it arrives. Good luck!

I just received email confirmation from Debbie at AeroHunter that my Kite shipped today. That is Two days before the shipping date I was given when I ordered on September 13. I’ve hunted from the Kestrel, its a great saddle. Good Luck this season and be safe.

What difference do you notice between the sit drag and the mantis?

First is that it is great not having to deal with a saddle AND a rock harness. Just strap on the Manits and go. Simplifies things.

It is lighter of course.

I like the dedicated linesman's loops. Makes using the linesman rope super nice!

More coverage for the butt! Means more comfort.

Breathes better. I had a little bit of sweat in my cack with the sitdrag. I mean they were relatively hot days though.
