After much research and back and forth I have decided I want to give saddle hunting a try as I think it will be extremely beneficial to my hunting style. The issue I am running into is I can't find proper ropes and lines sold anywhere locally or saddles/ sitdrags. Where is everyone purchasing their gear from?

@DanO at doublesteps.com is where you need to go. He's compiled all the best items for DIY saddles. If I could rebuild my sitdrag, I would probably be able to do one good sized order for Eastern Wood Outdoors and be done!

If you wanna give it a go for dirt cheap, make a fleece saddle, use a treestand harness as your fall protection and use something like the summit lifeline cut up for your lineman and tether
