I just ordered a 5 pack of steps and was wondering if anyone has made their own 1 step aider. It doesn’t seem like it would take too much. I’m just looking to get a little more height out of the 5 steps. Thanks.

Try a knaider. Probably the simplest way. Lots of info on here about them.

Knaider from doublesteps.com is what I used before I sold my WE steps. I could get about 20ft out of the 5 steps I had and the knaider. Platform out me a little over 20ft.

Another vote for knaider here. Made my own and an aider. Ditched the aider after a couple climbs. Didn't add that much.

Knaider/Swaider. I know there are some concerns about swaider kicking out, but I have never had an issue or felt unsafe. I can get 20-21 ft with 3 steps and have 2 left to complete ring of steps. Think theyre $35ish from @JCLINE84 . My wife got them for me for a birthday gift and said service was great and shipping was quick. Legit equipment, well made.

I believe he makes them (knaider/swaider) for doublesteps.com now. I ordered one (swaider) for my son as it is adjustable. I made one for myself that doesn't adjust. I priced components to make an adjustable 1 and for the price it is worth ordering it.

Using the knaider/swaider combo gives me about 2 extra feet per step than just the knaider. Just practice getting the steps tight and the rope on the steps stretched before using this method.

Then take your time if you do. If you want to use just 1 method, the knaider is much safer.
