You could start with an Amsteel rope mod. That should help.
Yeah if the amsteel cut my rope weight in half with a 4 stick setup that would save me a half lbs on total weight. My sticks with no rope is 2lbs 6oz. So maybe with the amsteel I'm guessing 2.9 per stick.

I cut down my lone wolf sticks to 24”. One stick weighed 1lb12oz. And I think that’s as with an amsteel daisy chain. I was using a 5 step aider with the wild edge steps. I could get about 20 feet with 4 steps and aider. I’d say the aider was at least 8oz but I haven’t weighed it yet.

My hawk heliums are 2.25 lbs each after: cutting to a 23" step length (don't know overall at moment), removing middle steps, putting on a DIY versabutton, and attaching 1/8" amsteel daisy chain. Prior to mods, 4 stock heliums weighed 13 lbs. So, I saved 4 lbs.
