The bad news is, it's the 8th day of Michigan's archery deer season and I've only been out once. The good news is, today was my last day as a regular working man! Tomorrow I start life as an old retired guy!
Congrats on your retirement. I’d retire tomorrow if I could. As it sits I should have no more than 25 years left to work.
I’ve had the same employer for 18 years. I’ve been trying to find a job working 12:00-1:00 with an hour for lunch for 17 of them."No more than 25 yrs"? I tend to measure my retirement possibilities with "no less than"
Just remember to stay busy, even if it is mowing your own lawn and maybe cleaning your elderly neighbor’s gutters. My wife’s grandpa is 92 and still stays busy, I only hope I live to be his age, much less still bow hunting, driving, and loading corn bags and cement bags!!The bad news is, it's the 8th day of Michigan's archery deer season and I've only been out once. I have a friend that I hunt with a couple times a year and he is 72 years old and has been retired for the last 8 years. That’s exactly what he does to ‘stay young’ he keeps busy. He hunts or fishes 3-4 times a week as well as takes care of his place. In fact 2 years ago he went on an elk hunt. I hope I’m in half as good a shape as he is when I’m his age. Enjoy your retirement, you’ve earned it.Just remember to stay busy, even if it is mowing your own lawn and maybe cleaning your elderly neighbor’s gutters.
