WE'RE ALMOST THERE BOYS!!!!

Last week of September here in Ohio. A week earlier for the DSA zones in the state. At the end of July is when I really start to get in the mood. And when the corn starts to turn yellow at the bottom of the stalks (and it is starting to here now) then it really hits me. My favorite time of the year is starting!

10/1 here but for various reasons this year I’m glad I’ve got some more time and wish I was still in May to be honest.

I noticed the tall grass slowing turning to a brown color. The walnut leafs are turning yellow and slowly falling. I don't want summer to end yet. But hunting sounds like fun.
I take great pleasure this time of year pointing out to my wife the patches of leaves in the trees that are starting to change color. She somehow fails to share my joy about it. . . ;)

Last weekend of September. My bow is getting a new string and I’m getting it back this week with a fresh set of arrahs. This last 50-60 days is tough to handle but I’ll deal with it by shooting a lot more, food plots, garden, and maybe doing some squirrel hunting in a month.
