As I go through the hunting season I continually ask myself "What have I learned this year?"

So I'm curious what hunting lessons everyone has learned.

So here are my take aways from my season so far.

1st. The previous years intel on a buck is invaluable.
2nd. Stay persistent and stick with your plan.
3rd. Capturing the hunt on film is rewarding.

This year I learned I should have got into saddle hunting years ago.I only started at the end of my season missed a nice bull somehow elk fever I suspect hahaha was using my traditional flintlock muzzleloader. Had several hunters walk right underneath me without a clue I was there. I scared a few that stopped right below me when I whisper hey, hey as they looked around I said look up. Can't wait until next season!
