I hit a deer tonight with a shotgun. Here’s some pictures from the blood trail. What do you guys think about the hit? I’m colorblind so I’m looking for help identifying it.

I tracked a ways 50-70 yards with no recovery and backed out. In your guys experience how far can deer hit with a slug in the lungs go?

I would say lung also. Sometimes they just run.

need more details....looks like aerated blood (lungs) to me. if 2 lungs haes done pretty quick, if 1 give him time. also, a throat hit can cough up aerated blood.

Certainly arterial so that deer is likely very close to the last place you looked.

Couldn’t find him. We got some rain overnight so no blood to track this morning and the grid search turned up nothing. Hard to believe...

Sorry to hear man, sometimes it's just unexplainable. Hurts.
