What knot should or can I tie on the end of pursek where I attach my caribener?
Figure eight for that too attach to carribiner but that tag end should be a double fishermen’s knot instead of a figure eight. But I would use a proper prusik with double fisherman’s knots. They’re simple and proven. I’ve seen this knot used in climbing but always with a biner incorporated into the knot along the main line. Good luck.Yes it’s a Blake’s hutch that came on the kestrel teacher not a pursek knot
It’s like this
Just one piece coming off to tie on the beaner

I’ve found that you need to experiment with the prusik cordage size compared to your tether size and adjust the number of wraps accordingly. I never have an issue with my prusik biting to hard to make them move. I can push up or pull down one handed and they move very easily and then cinch tight when the prusik is pulled from the tag.The issue with both the prusik and blake's hitch is that they bind REALLY tightly once loaded, so they're tough to adjust once you've put weight on them. I know there was another thread about this where someone suggested a distel hitch instead, and I've found that to really be the way to go. That's what I'm using on my tether now, and on my lineman's belt I included a tender under it as well, in the same way aero hunter is doing now (like in the picture posted by pesqimon). Allows for easy one-handed adjustments without a ropeman.
