Prolly 300K plus arrows over my lifetime have worn my shoulders to where I shoot lower poundage now...I know that's a lot of arrows but I did the calculation and that may be a conservative number lol (150 arrows avg per week x 40 years)......
Started out with 55 lb bows in the mid 1990's (compound bows before that)- now I know I should have shot less poundage and would have shot even better and killed just as good lol - anyway used everything from the big snuffers to Simmons tree sharks to Woodsmans and everything between with no problems...
When I went down to 50 lbs I shot the same broadheads as above with no problems.
Not hunting with trad as much right now due to shoulders and letting them heal so not shooting enough to hunt(shooting a 40 lb compound this season) - but hopefully I will be back 100% soon - but the last buck I shot with trad was in 2016 with a 40 lb longbow - VPA 200 grain 3 blade - and got two holes....
All these bows I shoot around 500 grain arrow.....
With these setups I have killed whitetail deer, hogs and turkey....
