Im ready to order the tethrd mantis, but om not sure what size would fit me best. I'm 5-10 175 lb with a 32-inch waist. I'm worried the medium would be too small with heavy clothes on. On the flip side I'm also worried a large would be too big and I'm worried about comfort. Does anybody have any advice for me?

Take this for what its worth coming from a bigger guy but I don't think you can go wrong on the "one size larger" theory. I've seen a lot of posts on the forum wishing they had gotten the next size up but I can't recall one where someone expressed an opinion that the saddle they bought was too big.

I'm 5'9 185 with a 32-33 inch waist. I have a large mantis and really like the fit. I purposely got it for a little extra layering. I also hunted with minimal clothes on a 50 degree day with no issues. I'm really happy with the size.

Tethrd is a great company. I'm sure they would swap out saddles if you find yours doesn't fit properly.

I don’t know if you ordered yet. But I am 5’11” 175 and a 32. I ordered a medium and they sent me a large. And I am sure glad they did. It fits me well. A medium would’ve been too tight.

Having just sat in a ton of different makes of saddles at Saddlepalooza, the rule is there is almost no such thing as too big, but definitely can be too small. Err on the larger size always, at least with the choices out there right now.

I'm 5'9" and 175lbs with 31" waist. I originally ordered a medium. Bought a large and did a comparison. Ended up selling the medium for the large. Was more comfortable to me.

I have since sold it and now have a kestrel that I really enjoy. To each their own lives guess!
