Bowhunterchuck - I too hunt from a tree suit. I am curious as to what changes you made to yours. I just started a thread a few minutes ago regarding treesuit modifications. If you could chime in I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I made a DIY "Onehair Seat" that I learned about Leatherwall....Plywood, webbing and a Cushion
I used it a few times and then KNEW I wanted an AeroHunter which I have now.

I made one of those as well about 4 years ago. It was sketchy.

:)
Mine was really solid but not as maneuverable as a good Saddle.
It was quite comfortable though.
And really by the time you buy all the parts and a Harness (I wore a Rock Climbing harness in mine), it wasn't that cheap.

If you had a choice, which tree saddle would you choose brand new
.Trophyline Road Trips leather tree saddle
.Green's Leather Tree saddle(no shoulder straps)

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone but I believe the green's saddle was a the predecessor to the tree saddle?

If that is true I would go with the tree saddle.. I have held a few of the earlier version tree saddles and I liked the later models better, I feel like they evolved.

I CHANGED THE WAY MY TREE SUIT ATTACHES TO THE TREE. I REMOVED THE D RINGS FROM THE STRAP THAT GOES BEHIND THE TREE AND ATTACHED THEM TO THE BRIDGE (ON THE WAIST STRAP). A ROPE SAFETY STRAP (FOR A SAFETY HARNESS) GOES AROUND THE TREE AND I THEN ATTACH TO THE PRUSSIC KNOT WITH A CARABINER. THIS SET UP IS VERY SIMPLE AND COMFORTABLE BUT NOT SURE HOW SAFE IT REALLY IS ? I CURRENTLY OWN THE NEW AERO SADDLE AND FEEL VERY SAFE BUT NOT AS COMFORTABLE. I WILL BE USING BOTH THIS YEAR UNTIL I WORK OUT ALL THE ADJUSTMENTS IN MY AERO SADDLE.
GOOD LUCK !

Trophyline ambush saddle for about 6 years now. Love it.

Would like to try the new aero hunter but the price tag is too high...

Just got my second tree saddle(spare) . I got the leather Roadtrips model. Got in a large even though I'm a medium. Compared to my new Team realtree saddle it shows some usage, not a lot though.
The straps aren't shiney , but they aren't dry. I'm going to test it out tomorrow.

What is yall preference on the old (attached linesman belt) trophyline tree saddle vs the new version (detachable linesman belt)?
I personally like the old version until I have to climb a big tree. Lol

ANYONE EVER HEAR OF THE "SIT AND DRAG " ? I JUST GOT ONE AND AM THINKING ABOUT MAKING IT INTO A SADDLE. ANY THOUGHTS ? THIS THING WAS PRETTY COMFORTABLE AND LIGHT WEIGHT ! CHECK IT OUT. I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE IT IS SAFE. HAVE THE AERO HUNTER ALREADY AND WANT TO USE THE SIT AND DRAG FOR PUBLIC LAND.

Chuck, I have one but I haven't really used it. I know it is light but I just wasn't extremely impressed with it. It got put away and hasn't come out since...
