I didnt like it at all when I tried to climb in line with the platform. Going up offset made it super easy for me. I am intrigued by the idea of having the cam below the platform though.

I've settled on the Tethrd Predator CFX for my larger (late season) platform. I've sold LWCG Ambush, TL Mission, OOAL Ridgerunner XL.
Some people are still poo pooing it but I've been beyond happy with mine and I'm no fan boy.

It’s not really an XL compared to those, imo. More like mid-sized.
Not to say it isn’t more than ample for some users, but 12” deep isn’t exactly XL.
I’ve used the rr xl all season and don’t plan on changing. I shot a doe from it tonight, I was standing sideways on it when I shot. I typically wear size 13 boots. I prefer the post on the rr over the typical type of post like on the predator ect.

Sorry I dont. Not much to show on my build really. I just matched the holes from the original mission at the top of a 20" stick and then added the step and cleat at the bottom. If a guy has a drill press, he could clamp the original post and a longer new post and drill the holes perfectly. I used a cordless and eyeballed it. lol
So you use the cam cleat for the climb then attach the cam strap at hunting height to set the platform?
I would think so if you are talking about only having the cam cleat below the platform. I wouldnt think you could ever get the platform tight like that. Mine sets like it is welded to the tree with the cam cleat in place of the button. Some definite pluses to yours though. You are going to make less moves to gain the same height and I would expect you have no issues climbing in line with the stick. That will certainly help on some trees. Mine has a little smaller profile, I am guessing a little lighter and lacks the extra step of setting the cam strap. That's 2 good ways to skin that cat.
Yes, definitely went through some research and development in the backyard. I am 6'3" so I like the extra step. I can usually be well over 20 feet in 4 moves. I tried just putting an aider on the mission to begin with, but couldn't keep the platform from moving, sketchy! I have kicked the cam cleat before and that is why I won't hang on one. On a one stick the cam cleat is below the platform.
I almost put in my last that I figured you could hit 17-18 in 3 moves. Takes me four.

@Bets There you go. I did replace the versa button with a cam cleat before season and it made climbing with it easier for sure.
One of 2. Last year after season while I was going to be modding the mission, I also got a windwalker and modded it too. Hunted about half and half this season. Gonna make a couple tweaks to the windwalker so I can climb with it and it should be pretty well dialed in. The mission worked flawlessly. I REALLY like it.
