I'll start...
Think I settled on my mobile setup for 2018. Maybe not as impressive as @flinginairos with his climbing spurs but pretty dang decent for a complete setup that will get you 20+ ft. up just about any tree.
Gear list starting top left to right:
If i had to guess at the weight i'd guess probably 20~ ish lbs +/- 2lbs. I don't have any way to weight this crap lol. I will say the mantis packs up unbelievably small. I can crush that thing down to just a little bit bigger than a softball, excluding ropes. Surprised at the bulk of the tethrd ropes, but they are very light.
This is likely to be my early season setup when i'm not needing much in the way of extra layers. While I can strap them onto the exterior of the pack I find they are always getting snagged up on stuff. Once mid and late season goes into full swing I will probably bust out the frame pack just to be able to comfortably pack more layers in.
Of course some items can be excluded based on if I hunted the spot before. Kill kit usually stays at the car too as i'm almost always within a mile of the truck. Alternatively I don't always pack in my saddle or kneepads either. Depending on the spot they can be worn in.
All in all my least bulky season to date! Getting pumped for the 2018 whitetail season!!!
