Just did my longest sit yesterday. 5 hours. I wasn't able to sleep and the last hour was was kinda fidgety. But it was never unbearable. Trying to figure out how to make it a bit better.

So, what's the longest y'all have sat? And what's your set up/what makes it so comfortable for you.

Mine, Tethrd Phantom. All stock with a amsteel adjustable bridge. And a Tethrd predator platform. I just picked up some knee pads that are a game changer as well. No back strap or anything like that.

11 hours or so.

Kestrel with adjustable bridge, knee pads, and usually LWHC seat as a platform.

It's pretty comfortable, but after 4-6 hours I just expect and accept some discomfort.

Just 6 hours so far in the old sit and drag with a RCH. Still waiting on my saddle to come in.

I did 13 hours yesterday, back strap helps a lot. I would adjust my saddle every hour or so and go back in forth between sitting and leaning.

I did 14 hours end of Sept in a phantom. Knee pads and back band are required. First 6-7 hours not bad. The rest was very uncomfortable. Didn’t help I didn’t see a single deer after 11am. Have several 12 hour or so sits coming up this week/weekend. But will be rocking a JX3 for them probably.

I have never slept in a saddle or stand before. When I wake up, drive and walk in I’m pretty wide awake. Back band will help with the napping. Lol

What kinda saddles are y'all running? And any accessories to help increase the comfort?

4-5 hrs in my flex but could sit all day I'm my Quidos web. Just got the JX3 and have hunted 4 days in it and I dought I will use the Flex or web anymore......I do not want to get down. Will be pulling all day hunts with it this year

The hybrid is an amazing piece of equipment

Sunrise to sunset, about 11 hrs, after 6 hours it does tend to get uncomfortable, but it is better to sit it out and squirm a little if the deer are moving. You might get busted, but you will definitely not get the buck if you are back at camp.

Man you 12-16 hour guys are nuts. I have only been in my saddle 3 times for more than 2 hours, however. So maybe I still needa work it in. Like a bike seat. Ass only stops hurting after about the 5th good ride lol.

I think I'ma try the back support as well. Also, y'all with the JX3 hangin chair thing. How in the world do you not get busted in that thing hahah. That's crazy

Same as any saddle. Just slide around the tree to hide and wait for your shot. Plus I sit a lot more still in JX3 vs traditional saddle.

Everything is Tethrd.

Phantom saddle with adjustable bridge, Predator Platform. Tether is from them also and it's got a ropeman on it. Wear knee pads and backpack is placed right infront of me.

couldnt sleep in the saddle or the i know im hunting tomorrow so cant sleep routine? the latter was me last night

I've done a bunch of 12+ hour sits mostly during the rut, and they all sucked. But if you're in a good spot it gives you the best shot at catching a cruising buck during the midday hours.

Any minor issue that you experience during a short hunt (4-5 hours) will be magnified on an all day sit, so do whatever you can to eliminate those. But it's going to suck no matter what you do, just a matter of the degree of suck.

Well, I knew I was hunting so I didn't sleep, then I was tired and tried to sleep in the saddle...and couldn't. Hahah. The 20mph winds and pencil thin tree did NOT help the situation
