I am liking the Darn Tough line. Very dense marino wool with a lifetime guarantee. Really, you put a hole in the sock and they will replace them.

Seriously, they’re all I wear now. Great socks. I buy mine open massdrop.com. I think they changed to the name to drop.com now though.

I am going to start to sound like @rickyracer, but for cold weather, I bought the lamilite socks, and they work great!

You wear them as socks and not over socks. Wicks sweat away and works for me. The wool and Bama socketts stay in my other unused hunting clothes.
What boots are you wearing? I usually wear rubber boots until it gets cold and don't notice any real advantage to Wiggy's socks. Inside of rubber boots anything you wear just gets wet from sweat. If boots are breathable, I'd think they'd be a big help in keeping your feet dry.

How are they size wise compared to boot sizes? Thought about getting some, but size is always a concern when ordering without being able to try them.
I am size 9 1/2 and ordered size 10. They are snug, and I have narrow feet. I would call them. Wiggys 8 inch.

Dans frogger boots. Souped up mucks. Lamilite definitely work better for me than wool or smart wool. Both with and without bama sockets. I do take my insole out and change into dry socks at the tree.

Nothing works well with the ice breaker boot blanket or arctic shield boot insulators. As you mentioned, the rubber boots are killing my feet when in stand. They are the weak link in toasty toes. But I need them to trudge through the swamps I hunt.

I have an idea that maybe carrying the boot insulators and a low cut mukluk, and putting them on, on stand, would be good. Not too much extra weight, and better comfort. I just don’t want to hump two full pair of boots into the woods.

The Steger mukluks do not have low cut in my size (13 double wide).

The Manitobah mukluks has a short mukluk, but not wide and size 13 is out of stock.

All I really need at the tree is something with a sole rigid enough to ascend and descend tree steps and to stand on my platform. And roomy and breathable. But so far, no dice.

These Gore merino blended socks are far and away the best sock I ever owned. Their moisture wicking ability is incredible; even when my boots are soaked, my feet feel dry in these things. Sadly I only bought 3 pairs and I can't find them for sale anywhere. I've read Gore discontinued them which is a crying shame.

I have some Darn Tough merino socks that are nice, but don't hold a candle to the Gore socks.
Well you got me excited for nothing! And I heard it was d/c'd as well
