I'll be hunting with my Satori 19" riser and Uukha Gobi short 45# limbs, this year. :)

My hunting arrow setup is a Gold Tip Traditional 500 spine with 4" (banana cut) turkey feathers (cut off of a Tom I shot this spring), 29" length with a TAW of 540 gr. and 23% FOC. My broadhead choice will be a Steel Force single bevel at 175 gr. and 75 gr. added internal tip weights to get to the same field point weight of 250 gr.

Old 50 lb, 52” Ben Pearson with Sitka Spruce shafts and 190 grain single bevel Grizzly and Cut Throat broadheads. Arrows are stained with True North water based, sealed with 3Rivers gasket lacquer. I’m using 5” shield cut feathers and fletching tape with Bohning classic nocks. They’re riding in a Gunshy 4+1 quiver.

Arrows on right are 2216’s, white wrap with 5” shield cut white feathers, three fletch and 175 gr 3 blade VPA broadheads. 620 gr TAW. Shot out of 53 lb bow.

Arrows on left are 500 spine GT Trad’s, white wrap with 5” shield cut feathers, two fletch and 200 gr 3 blade VPA broadheads. 520 gr TAW. Shot out of 48lb bow.

The 48lb bow is a different riser design with a 1” higher brace height. The 52 lb bow also has carbon laminations in the limb. So pound for pound the 52lb bow is a little faster. This makes both of these setups shoot with a very similar trajectory out to 30 yds.

GT 400’s w/ 100 gr brass inserts and 150 gr BH’s(pick a flavor from the box). TAW 562 gr.

Launched from a 43 @ 28 (I draw 30”) FireFly longbow, Big Jim Desert Bighorn recurve, or Poison Dart longbow.

I don’t know exact FOC, but I’m guessing in the neighborhood of 21%?????

Shoot straight my trad brothers and sisters!!!!

Autumn Orange XX75 2216s with 175-250 grains up front for the grizzly bruin, 4” parabolic or shield feathers and TAW between 600-675. Yea, I’m still tuning and making the arrows up… trying to find the best combination between length and weight. My current build came in too heavy at around 680 grains and the drop was killing me.

Same bow as last year. Bearpaw Slick stick 55# @28 3EC33671-AF15-4A21-9732-456B8FCF5AFD.jpeg

@JoyRyd how do you like this flames?

I got these before Markus sold the company. 165 grains. Got the last 7 he had in stock as he was transitioning to the 150 grain head.

I really like them. I struggle sharpening them, but only because I’m “sharpening challenged”. When I can get them sharpened, they are great heads.

Out of a 60” Toelke Whip, 45@28.5”, 30.5” Black Eagle Deep Impact shafts, 400 spine, white wrap, 4 4“ shield cut feathers, 100 grain FOCOS insert system with 200 grain VPA 3 blade.

Out of a 58” Black Widow PCHX, 45@28.5”, 30” Autumn Orange 2016 shafts, yellow wrap, 4 4” shield cut feathers, aluminum insert with 175 grain VPA 3 blade.

Same arrows different feathers I had on hand, gateway barred, tuned down to 200gr field point. I need to pick up 200 gr broadheads but the weight is 630 TAW.7ECA2113-1409-4D75-97A0-1823B9B92249.jpeg

50gr insert
125gr head (pick your poison)
3" feathers and 4" wrap.
Woody's Starburst SB4 Blue lighted nock
520 TAW 17% FOC

Arrow #2:
400 spine gold tip trad 30.5"
50gr insert
200gr head (single bevel of some sort
3" feathers
4" Wrap
Woody's Starburst SB4 Blue lighted nock
570ish 20% FOC (Have yet to test this one on a deer.)

50lb Warf/Franken bow Recurve

Gold Tip trad 500 spine full length
50gr insert
200 grain head (single bevel of some sort)
3" Feathers
570ish TAW 21% FOC

I really want to find a 45-48lb longbow like my Centaur 42lb bow. Would probably get rid of my Franken bow if I did.

Ok I know I have a problem and I already posted twice here but I’m finally set. My VPA broadheads came in and my gripper for my quiver so I had to show y’all this finished product. This is what confidence looks like for me. I’m pumped and ready to shoot something.D30219E6-BD1D-4FB7-9E6B-26602995204E.jpeg2752258E-8D97-4732-8165-90C96331902C.jpeg4F20E3F7-1247-413A-977E-CF3F2C64D477.jpegAD72CC5E-D368-4A5B-9FC8-3C426D8140D8.jpeg5DBE7E1F-E453-43FA-A122-3B53942AB8C8.jpeg
