Where to attach Lineman's Belt

I made my first trip up a tree using Hawk Helium's and Sit Drag + Harness combo. I used the One Stick Method and found it surprisingly easy. At about 15' up I got to a branch that I had to pass my tether over. When connecting my Lineman's belt as an intermediate connection to the tree I attached both ends via carabineer to the belay loop, as the gear loops are non-load bearing. This worked for the purpose of temporarily being connected to the tree. But, where would you attach the Lineman's Belt if not using the One Stick Method?

Most modify the rock climbing harness. Just give me a second, I will try to get a picture for you of my set up.

Also I forgot to add that I set up both my tether and my lineman's belt exactly the same and use them both while passing branches. I will use them interchangeably.

Ohhhhhh now I see. You run some webbing through the back loop and another weight bearing portion then attach to loops. Makes a lot more sense than on the belay loop.
